History of the village

Old Photograph of Local People

The village website has recently been given a selection of old photographs.  A number of these are of people who have lived, or maybe are still living, in the village.  We will be adding a selection of these photographs to the site over the spring period. You may be interested to see who you know.

  • Maybe you can spot a relative?
  • Do you know when or where they were taken?
  • Perhaps they bring back memories of earlier times?

Click on the image to see a larger version which identifies each person with a code.

This larger group appear to be in the village hall. Can you identify any of these people?

Thank you to all those in the village, especially the Good Neighbours Club, for identifying people in the photograph.

#  26 Sep 10.  Julie Botterill, and her mum, Shirley Rainbow, says that Mrs Noon lived next to Shirley's uncle.

Thought that the photograph is of members of the Good Neighbours Club.
