Northamptonshire County Council website contains a section covering various aspects of transportation for the whole of Northamptonshire. The following link gives you access to ths main transport section. It covers many topics from information on rights of way, through walking and cycling, public transport, parking and up to transport planning.

Public Transport
One section of the Council site covers all forms of public transport in great detail.

A sub-section of the Northamptonshire County Council site covers public transport. To view all the Bus Services across the county by different providers, then use the the following link. The majority of services allow you to download route maps and timetables.
If you wish to look at bus timetables for a specific route, then use the following link. This allows you to enter your start point and destination, to check if a service exists, and then view the timetables and maps.

Details on the internet of routes by specific service providers are not always easy to locate or navigate, or may not actually exist. Initially it is advisable to start with the above County Council site.
In addition, Northamptonshire County Council produces a number of timetable booklets and leaflets for bus services in the county. These can be obtained from:

The main bus services that pass through Brafield on the Green are:
- Northampton / Bedford ( Stagecoach )
- Northampton / Wollaston ( Yorks )
Stagecoach runs the service Pluto P1 between Northampton and Bedford with bus stops on the Bedford Road. The following map indicates the route. Click on the image to view a larger map.
The service currently runs on Monday to Saturday, with a limited service on Sundays and Bank Holidays. To view the timetables as larger documents, click on the images below. These may then be printed.

York's Travel
Yorks Travel Y4 service
Yorks Travel operate the Y4 service between Northampton and Wollaston
This service is subsidised by the County Council and passes through Little Houghton, Brafield and Cogenhoe.
It operates on a daily basis from Monday to Saturday (no Sunday service) with bus stops on the Billing Road.

This service from Cogenhoe to the Doctors Surgery in Denton operates on Tuesdays and Fridays only.

The Tesco Bus
Operated by Country Lion Tel: 754566
This is a free service which runs from Brafield to the Weston Favell Shopping Centre.
It runs on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, picking up at the bus stop opposite the Village Stores at 12.26pm.
The return journey leaves the Weston Favell Centre at 2.15pm.
Jason (Journeys Around SOuth Northants) Travel for All
This is a community transport service, funded by Northamptonshire County Council and South Northants Council, which can be used by residents in South Northants. JASON provides a service to any members of the community who, for various reasons, have difficulties with, or are unable to use, public transport. There is an annual registration fee (currently £15) and a charge per mile.

This scheme is open to everyone over the age of 60 and people with a disability. Free travel is available between 9.30am and 11pm, Mondays to Fridays, and all day Saturdays, Sundays and bank holidays, across the whole of South Northamptonshire. If you travel outside these times you will pay the normal fare.
The free pass can also be used on the JASON minibus service.

Earls Barton Volunteer Car Scheme supports patients who have no other means of transport, in keeping appointments at Denton Surgery or at hospital.
The scheme is also always looking for additional volunteer drivers.

N.O.W. (Northamptonshire On Wheels)
This scheme is aimed at young people between the ages of 16 and 25 who live in, or need to get to, a rural location. N.O.W. assists young people to access education, training or employment where they would otherwise struggle without their own transport.
Examples of help are:
- Guidance on current community and transport provision
- Personalised travel plans
- Small loans to assist towards the costs of first months bus fares
- Loan of a moped with safety equipment and training for approximately 6 months
