The Planning Officers Society (POS), in a response to the Government's proposals, has broadly welcomed many aspects of the rural Community Right to Build, but warns of problems as a result of poorly considered planning constraints, which normally form part of the planning process.

As a result small developments initiated using the Right to Build proposals may face legal challange.
