24 hour Accident and Emergency Department There is a 24 hour Accident and Emergency Department with a separate Eye Casualty from 9am to 5pm. Northampton Minor Illness and Minor Injury Unit The MIaMI unit is currently based at the Physiotherapy Outpatients Department at Northampton General Hospital. Located close to the hospital's Accident and Emergency Department, the unit provides treatment for a wide range of minor illnesses and injuries - from colds and flu to stomach upsets, ear infections, sprains, strains, minor burns and wounds. The unit also provides help with emergency contraception. Try also local Yellow Pages Opticians Childcare Infant Welfare Clinic A number of welfare clinics continue to run in the surrounding villages usually held in association with the local pre-school Parents and Under Fives sessions. Parents and Under Fives One group meets every Tuesday from 2.00pm to 4.00pm at Denton Village Hall. The Health Visitor attends every second Tuesday of the month. For further information call Jane Hatton Tel: 899215.
Another group meet on Thursdays from 1.45pm to 3.30pm in the Yardley Hastings Memorial Hall. During school holidays the group meets at private homes.
